Brooks Institute is fortunate to have Joyce Wilson, fine art photographer and educator, on board as an adjunct faculty member teaching our Beyond Portraiture class.

In the class, an elective in Brooks’ Professional Photography program, Wilson moves beyond purely technical instruction to delve in alternative processes and creativity, combining old-world and art-making techniques with the contemporary world of digital photography.

In the video below, Joyce discusses the unique aspects of what students explore in the class and shares the details on one of her own works that relates to the lessons she looks to impart to her students.
